What are the requirements for a Florida Mortgage Loan Originator license?

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Complete the NMLS Federal and Florida specific state required courses
• Pass the NMLS Federal and state examination
• You do not need not be a Florida resident

How do I apply for the NMLS Courses and the Florida State Specific exam?

• You may apply online at the NMLS Resource Center website select Education link.  You may apply for the State and Federal NMLS couse on our schedule - go to schedule.

What is the cost to apply for the NMLS Courses

• 20- Hour NMLS classes start at $289.00
• 4-Hour Florida State Specific NMLS classes start at $129.00
• 24-Hour NMLS Florida Comprehensive Course classes start at $389.00

What is the cost to retake the state exam?

• Should you need to retake the exam, you must was a minimum of 30 days, and must pay Pearson Vue or Prometrics another $92.00, for Federal Licensing Exam and $69 for State Licensing Exam each time you retake the exam. You will need to contact Pearson Vue or Prometrics to re-schedule your exam.

When and where is the state exam given?
